ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) on Friday summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to record a protest over a cross-border attack along the Line of Control (LoC).
Indian forces had resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Chirikot sector, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The firing by Indian forces had resulted in the death of two civilians and injured five others.
The FO’s South Asia chief handed over a protest letter to the Indian diplomat and condemned the repeated ceasefire violations by India.
Earlier today, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps and said that there cannot be any let up in the Army’s preparedness and response against the perpetual threat on the eastern border.-Web Desk
