DUBAI: Emirates Airline has confirmed that there has been an incident involving one of its planes at Dubai International Airport.
The airline said in a statement on Twitter: “Emirates can confirm that an incident happened at Dubai International Airport on 3rd August 2016 at about 12.45pm local time.”
No further details have yet been released, however photos of large plumes of dark smoke coming from one of Emirates aircraft have been posted on social media.
Dubai Media Office tweeted that there was an accident involving an Emirates flight from India as it landed at Dubai International.
It said that all passengers were evacuated and that there are no reported casualties so far.
According to Gulf News, Emirates aircraft flying from Thiruvananthapuram, India, to Dubai made an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport.
All passengers have been escorted to safety. The area has been cordoned off.
