KARACHI: The local city administration on Monday placed a ban on swimming and ariel firing on the New Year’s eve to avoid any untoward incident.
The authorities have decided to block routes to the Seaview with containers to minimise presence of people at the beaches for celebrations.
Alternative traffic plans have been issued for the residents of Defence and Clifton.
Sindh Rangers spokesperson said that the paramilitary has finalised security arrangement for the New Year night, under which it has increased the number of the patrolling team for snap checking.
The spokesperson said that there will be a complete ban on ariel firing and display of weapons.
The Rangers warned that there will be strict against people for violating law and order. The local city administration decided to block routes to the Seaview with containers to minimise new years celebrations.
The authorities have said that in order to avoid drowning incidents on the beach, the public is not allowed swimming at the beaches on New Year’s Eve.
Traffic Police directives
Vehicular traffic coming from PIDC chowk will not be allowed to move towards Ziauddin Bridge. The traffic police have also been instructed to block the club road leading towards Clifton bridge.
The authorities have also decided to block the route to Bahria underpass from Bilawal Chowrangi, and from Teen Talwar to Do Talwar.
Routes will be completely closed for traffic from Korangi Expressway to Sea View via Khayaban-e-Ittehad. –Web Desk
