HYDERABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif has forcefully tried to enter politics of Balochistan, where a crisis situation has emerged, said Pakistan Peoples Party’s Maula Bakhsh Chandio.
While referring to the resignations in the Balochistan cabinet, the PPP leader said a crisis situation has risen ever since Nawaz started meddling in the affairs of Balochistan.
A notification from the office of governor Balochistan de-notified Sarfraz Bugti as the provincial minister for home and tribal affairs, prisons and PDMA on the advice of the chief minister.
Bugti had earlier tweeted rejecting media reports that he had been dismissed from the provincial cabinet, adding that he submitted his resignation on Tuesday afternoon to governor Balochistan.
Bugti did not reveal any reasons behind his resignation, he did state that his conscience did not allow him to carry on with a dispensation which had ‘completely failed the people of Balochistan’.
Shortly after, Balochistan Minister of Fisheries Mir Sarfaraz Chakar Dhomki also resigned and sent his resignation to Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri.
The development in the political landscape came after 14 provincial lawmakers decided to take measures against Zehri. Earlier, provincial lawmakers submitted a no-confidence motion against the chief minister of Balochistan.
During Wednesday’s news conference, Chandio said Nawaz heads the party of a “specific province”, and has forcefully entered Balochistan.
He added that Nawaz has played his part in politics and has seen his rise. But now, he added, the public would not accept whatever agreement the ruling party was planning to reach.
Nevertheless, the PPP leader believed the coming days would see unusual alliances between political parties.
About the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Chandio said Imran Khan will be ousted from the place he is conducting his politics from.
“Imran has been blaming and cursing the entire world and would soon start targetting institutions as well,” the PPP leader claimed. –Web Desk
